American Association Of Medical Review Officers Selects Noverant Learning Management System For New Industry Portal
Raleigh, N.C. — Noverant, Inc. (www.noverant.com) announced today that it has been selected by the American Association ofMedical Review Officers (AAMRO) (www.aamro.com) to provide its online learning management system for the MRO Center, AAMRO’s new information Web portal.
AAMRO is the leading medical organization providing education, testing, certification and standards for medical review officers—licensed physicians who receive, review and interpret urine, hair, oral fluid and sweat patch drug test results, monitoring drugs of abuse on behalf of employers, federal agencies, the courts and healthcare providers.
AAMRO has certified more than 6,000 physicians from nearly a dozen nations as medical review officers. The AAMRO Web site will become a membership-based online information and resource portal for the MRO industry. Members will be able to access and take online exams via the Noverant learning management system. This groundbreaking system for MROs will hold electronic transcripts for each member of AAMRO’s MRO Center. These digitally signed electronic transcripts can be maintained regardless of whether members change jobs or organizations.
Major pharmaceutical companies, aviation firms, legal firms, HR departments and other organizations choose Noverant to demonstrate safety, compliance, training and document verification.
“Organizations across various highly-regulated industries can harness the power of eLearning and document verification as AAMRO has, in a way that not only benefits the organization, but its members at the same time,” Frank Gozzo, Noverant CEO, said.
Through Noverant’s hosted application service model, AAMRO enjoys affordable per-user and per-document pricing. This allowed AAMRO’s online portal to be implemented on the Noverant system in a few days, with no expensive upfront software licenses or software maintenance fees.
AAMRO members were provided an early experience of the portal at focus groups at the annual AAMRO conference in Las Vegas, November 9-11."AAMRO members immediately recognized the value of the online portal to their practice and the technical community. The learning management system is overdue. They lauded us for continuing to take the leadership position in training, education and support,” said Ted Shults, JD, MS, chairman of AAMRO.
