Noverant Releases Web-Based Fuel Safety and Inspection Training

Noverant, Inc. is pleased to announce the immediate availability of the industry’s first online Fuel Safety and Inspection course. The web-based training is the first web-based course approved by the FAA to meet the training and record-keeping requirements of 14 CFR 139.321, which mandates training for virtually all FBOs and airport owners/tenants who are directly or indirectly involved in fueling operations.

“FAA-mandated training required by 14 CFR 139 poses a significant responsibility on FBOs and many airport tenants for training of their supervisors and line personnel in fuel safety,” said Jim Tringas, Director of Marketing for Noverant. “There are a number of instructor-led courses and videos available, but the industry is clearly tired of their high cost, cumbersome and inflexible delivery method, and record-keeping challenge.”

Rather than developing the content from scratch, Noverant looked long and hard to find the right content provider and found Aviation Continuing Education (ACE). “Their subject matter expertise and practical operational perspective is refreshing and highly respected by FBOs”, stated Tringas.

The online training is an 18-module course which is professionally-narrated and includes extensive graphics, interactive learning exercises and an online multiple choice final exam. In addition, the ability of an operator to prove their training compliance, as required by 14 CFR 139.321, is greatly simplified by utilizing Noverant’s FAA-approved compliance management system. All personnel (active or terminated) records are available online, and e-signatures meet the strict guidelines as detailed in 21 CFR Part 11, which requires long-term secure storage of all training events and government-approved electronic signatures.

“The online Fuel Safety and Inspection course will provide clients with far more flexibility and eliminates a client’s need to travel or contract a fuel safety expert for on-site training”, stated Jay Shanley, COO of ACE. He further commented, “Noverant is the first player in the industry to offer a cost-effective, world-class compliance management system approved by the FAA, TSA, DOT and other regulators. We are excited about this opportunity to greatly expand the accessibility and affordability of our training and allow our customers to track all their training records in a government-approved compliance management system.”
